Job Description
• Plans layout, install and repairs complex wiring and distribution system. Electrical equipment and lighting system.
• Install and maintains complex electrical and electronic components of varied equipment.
• Perform installation, removal and repair of a wide range of electrical equipment, such as power circuits, lighting systems, switch gear, transformers, starters, controllers, capacitors, production equipment, power and control systems, communication equipment and performs mechanical works on electrical equipment.
• Identify the key area for preventive maintenance and calibration.
• Work from complex wiring diagrams, code books and similar documents.
• To adhere to safety and good manufacturing procedures in performing repairs and calibration to prevent product contamination, personal injury, fire, explosion etc.
• Record and control readings from instruments used to control such physical properties as temperature, pressure, humidity, time, speed, dimensions, gases, levels, flow and vibrations, etc.
• Troubleshoot the problem of Programmer Logic Controllers (PLC) and Microprocessor based equipment and machinery.
• Must be able to read and modify the PLC program.
• Ensure functioning of all controls of Automatic Delivery System (ADS) for all production equipment.
• Select proper equipment size, wire, and conduit sizes, breakers, switch and fuses sizes from appropriate catalogues.
• Clean debris from work area, parts and equipment.
• Calculate the optimum component and installation requirement for each job, equipment, circuit, etc.
• Relate operational equipment requirements to maintenance activities and test effectiveness of repairs and upgrades on such equipment.
