Job Description
• Operate assigned utility equipment and related peripherals and auxiliaries.
• Perform utility equipment start-up and shutdown in accordance with documented procedures.
• Perform installation, removal, repair and maintenance of utility equipment and related peripherals and auxiliaries.
• Able to read and work from technical drawings, schedules, service manuals and other related documents.
• Analyze and diagnose equipment performance and recommend to the Utility Supervisor corrective action/modification for approval.
• Use required tools in testing and measuring the performance of utility equipment and learn to depend on quantitative analysis in addition to qualitative assessment in planning corrective actions.
• Use the 5 senses at all times when operating, inspecting utility equipment, and promptly alert the Utility Supervisor for any potential breakdown and recommend remedy action.
• Carry out the necessary preventive maintenance of utility equipment and related service points on the production lines based on instructions described in the preventive maintenance schedule.
• Maintain a working understanding of the plant production processes, equipment, systems and facilities in order to perform utility maintenance effectively.
• Observe all safety regulations and good housekeeping practices including cleaning up of workplace.
• Check, inspect, monitor and adjust of utility and plant equipment as required to ensure optimum performance of production lines.
• Perform routine record keeping, report writing and other related paper works.
• Know how to use measuring instruments such as PH meters, TDS meters, oxygen analyzer etc.
