Warehouse Supervisor

– Follow-up with local suppliers to ensure an adequate supply of material and spare parts is continually available as per company standards and policies and at best available price.

– Direct and supervise the work of the receiving of materials, packaging, spare parts and finished products employees.

– Maintain a complete, accurate, and up to date database of all materials, products, spare parts and finished goods.

– Source, identify and contract suppliers at better rates and/or terms to reduce costs of spare parts to the company.

– Monitor, control, and maintain an optimal inventory to ensure production lines are supplied with all materials, spare parts and ingredients needed as per production schedules.

– Oversee the disposal of defected and/or expired products and goods in accusation with the finance department, ministry of finance, and ministry of economy and supervisor of products warehouse.

– Complete annual general stock taking on all products, materials, spare parts, and other stored items and ensure they are within acceptable error margins.

– liaising with customers, suppliers and transport companies;

– Planning, coordinating and monitoring the receipt, order assembly and dispatch of goods;

– Using space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently and making sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met;

– Having a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these;

– Coordinating the use of automated and computerized systems where necessary;

– Planning future capacity requirements;

– Organizing the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress;

– Motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded;

– Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis;

– Briefing team leaders on a daily basis;

– maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals and food are stored safely;

– Overseeing the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment.

– Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
