Job Description
Lead the local procurement team to execute the buying and procurement strategies.
The Procurement manager is responsible for sourcing and purchasing the best quality materials and services at the most competitive prices and terms to ensure meeting the affiliate’s budget and overall organizational goals.
Implement the purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices in coordination with the regional buying director.
Monitor the ongoing compliance with the purchasing policies and procedures.
Direct procurement policies to ensure all items are purchased and delivered within budget and time constraints
Develop, negotiate, and administer purchasing agreements and contracts with suppliers in coordination with the regional buying director
Continuous sourcing of new suppliers
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers
Ensure the approved vendor database is maintained and updated continuously
Measure and evaluate supplier performance
Review and authorize the purchase orders to ensure compliance with the organizational policy and procedures
Set and track the affiliate’s purchasing budgets in coordination with the regional buying director and operations director
Prepare regular reports covering the pre-set KPI’s.
Oversee the operations and daily activities of the purchasing department
Manage the performance, develop, and motivate purchasing staff and track their KPI’s
Direct continuous improvement of purchasing processes in line with the changing organizational needs and market conditions
